Therapy is an extremely important component of treatment, especially for surgical cases. Therapy provides relief from chronic pain; improves motion, strength and flexibility; and often can help patients avoid surgery altogether. Both our physical therapists and our hand therapists are certified in their specialties, having demonstrated the highest level of professional expertise. Patients receive individualized treatment that is developed in collaboration with their attending Danbury Orthopedics physician. And, as is true with all professionals at Danbury Orthopedics, our exceptional care.
Danbury Orthopedics offers the full scope of therapy rehabilitation. Therapy services are divided into:
Physical Therapy – Most often used for the treatment of chronic musculoskeletal conditions and for pre- and postsurgical procedures. Our physical therapy practice also includes subspecialty sports therapists who understand the powerful physical demands placed upon athletes. Physical therapy services are performed at Danbury Orthopedics’s White Street and Sand Pit facilities in Danbury.
Hand Therapy – As part of The Hand Center at Danbury Orthopedics we offer subspecialty rehabilitation for the upper limb, including the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. Hand rehabilitation performed by CHT's (certified hand therapists) is offered at our White Street and Tamarack offices in Danbury.
